Abstract:
The present invention relates to a steel bar coupler capable of accommodating two deformed steel bars at one side thereof in order to connect the connecting end portions of the deformed steel bars in a straight line, wherein the steel bar coupler comprises: two coupler bodies into which the deformed steel bars are inserted so as to form two coupled steel bars; a plurality of coupler locks for holding the ribs of the deformed steel bars in order to prevent the deformed steel bars from disengaging; two helical springs for closely coupling the deformed steel bars to the coupler locks; a female coupler housing completely enclosing the coupler bodies and having a nut formed in one side thereof; and a male coupler housing which has the coupler bodies and the coupler locks inserted therein, and which is screw-coupled to the female coupler housing. According to the present invention, a high-strength steel bar coupler is used to quickly and simply connect steel bars without wrapping steel bars with steel wire, and to shorten work time so as to ultimately reduce construction costs.
