Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a hinge mechanism that allows a head-mounted display to be made more compact, and a head-mounted display comprising said hinge mechanism. [Solution] This hinge mechanism has a shank and a cable conduit. The shank supports a frame part and a temple part of a head-mounted display so that the temple part is capable of rotating about an axis between a closed position and an open position relative to the frame part. The cable conduit is adjacent to the shank in the axial direction and allows a cable to be passed therethrough in the direction orthogonal to the axis.
