A hoist (100) for elevator comprising a sheave (14) rotating with a rope, passed there around, a brake (60) for stopping rotation of the sheave (14), a first storing section (2) having an opening in one side and storing the sheave (14), and a second containing section (40) having an opening in one side and storing the brake (60) and engaging the opening of the first containing section (2) on the side opposite to the side for storing the brake (60).
