Abstract:
This holding mechanism for an x-ray image pickup device (3) is provided with the following: a switching means (36) for switching between a state in which movement of a mobile body (4) having an x-ray tube (1) or an x-ray detector (2) is permitted and a state in which movement of the mobile body is prohibited; a force direction detection means (38) for detecting the direction of a force applied to a movement mechanism (31); and a permitted direction determination means (7) for determining the direction, from among multiple directions, in which movement is permitted by the switching means, such determination being made on the basis of the detected direction of the force.
