Abstract:
Provided is a hollow fiber membrane module with which breakage of a hollow fiber membrane can be suppressed. In this hollow fiber membrane module, in which both ends of a hollow fiber membrane bundle are accommodated in a housing by way of adhesive securing portions, in the end surfaces of the adhesive securing portions in which the hollow fiber membranes are open, a point corresponding to the part of the outer circumferential surface of the adhesive securing portion having the smallest thickness is defined as an upper apex, and when a horizontal line is drawn passing through the center of the end surface and perpendicular to a vertical line from the upper apex toward said center, the value of (the number of hollow fiber membranes above the horizontal line)/(the number below the horizontal line) is 0.9 to 1.1.
