Abstract:
Provided is a honeycomb structure from which the detachment of a fiber layer can be prevented. A honeycomb structure (100) according to one aspect of the present invention (100) has, formed therein, multiple through-holes (110a) which are partitioned by porous partitioning walls (120), wherein at least a part of an inner wall of a fine pore (150) formed in each of the partitioning walls (120) and/or at least a part of each of the partitioning walls (120) is covered with a fiber layer (140), the fiber layer (140) contains inorganic fibers (140a) and inorganic binder particles (140b), and the center particle diameter of the inorganic binder particles (140b) is 10 μm or less.
