Abstract:
Disclosed is a housing for an electric vehicle battery pack, the housing comprising: a case main body having wall surfaces that are formed through sheet metal working; a cover for covering an opened portion of the case main body; plate-type brackets for installing modules, the plate-type brackets being coupled to side surfaces of battery modules with certain distances from the wall surfaces of the case main body; and a beam-type frame installed on the bottom of a case to reinforce the bottom of the case main body. The plate-type brackets each include at least one of: a bent portion bent from a plate surface to maintain and fix distances from the wall surfaces of the case main body; and a support portion coupled to the beam-type frame so as to support the battery module. Thus, a certain distance is provided by the bent portion between the battery module and the wall surfaces of the case main body, and at least a part of the battery module has a distance from the bottom through the coupling between the beam-type frame and the support portion.
