Title:
HOUSING HAVING MULTIPLE PROBES FOR THE MULTI-SITE DETECTION OF GAMMA RADIOACTIVITY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/048290
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for simultaneous detection, consisting of a plurality of separate sealed probes enabling the activity in gamma ionizing radiation to be measured in multiple sites and environments. The probes are connected, via one or more wired connections, to a data acquisition terminal, which enables the processing and formatting of said data. Acquisition and communication electronics included in each probe enables the number of gamma ionizing rays detected by the probes to be selected, counted, and digitized, and then communicating the digital information to a data acquisition terminal, the digital information not being subjected to analog noise loads, thereby freeing the measurement from interference, regardless of the distance between the probe and the terminal.
