Abstract:
A hub device for a bicycle is configured so that, in order to reduce an impact force, a load from the wheel is transferred to the hub device through an elastically deformable sleeve.
A hub device for a bicycle comprises: a hub case (8) provided to the center of the wheel, the hub case (8) being configured so that an input load from a rim (95) having a tire (9) attached thereto is transferred to the hub case (8) through spokes (91), the hub case (8) being formed in such a manner that the diameter of the bore of the hub case (8) is greater at portions near both ends of the bore than at the center thereof; a sleeve (3) provided integrally on the inner diameter side of the hub case (8) to serve to transmit to the shaft (5) side a load inputted into the hub case, the sleeve (3) being formed in a cylindrical shape and having slits (33) arranged in the circumferential direction; bearings (4) subjected to a load inputted in the sleeve (3) and rotatably supporting the entire wheel; the shaft (5) for rotatably supporting the entire wheel through the bearings (4); and spherical washers (1) provided at both ends of the shaft (5).
