Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to prevent reduction in a humidity conditioning effect and photocatalysis and prevent noticeable scratching on the surface of a brittle body made from porous ceramics despite repeated scraping by a foreign object on a humidity conditioning ceramic material with a photocatalyst applied thereon. This humidity conditioning ceramic material (1) is formed by a glaze particle cluster (3) made from multiple glaze particles (31) distributed as dots and adhered by fusing onto a surface (21) of a body (2) made from porous ceramics, and the humidity conditioning ceramic material (1) is coated with a photocatalyst (41). Consequently, due to the glaze particle cluster (3) protruding from the surface (21) of the humidity conditioning ceramic material (1), the surface (21) of the body (2) is rendered impervious to noticeable scratching, and the photocatalyst (41) and openings of pores (20) are protected to allow the humidity conditioning, the photocatalysis, and an aesthetic appearance to last a long time.
