Abstract:
A humidity detection device (20) has first and second humidity detection sensors (17, 18) and a control unit (21). When the first and second humidity detection sensors (17, 18) react to chemical substances, the humidity detection properties thereof change over time with mutually different amounts of change. The control unit (21) calculates the differential value of a first humidity value and a second humidity value detected using the first and second humidity detection sensors (17, 18). If this differential value is greater than a prescribed reference value, the control unit outputs a malfunction signal indicating a reduction in the humidity detection properties of at least one of the first and second humidity detection sensors (17, 18).
