Abstract:

This hybrid shovel has an engine (11) that is maintained at a fixed rotational speed, an electric motor (12) that assists the engine (11), a controller (30) that controls the driving of the electric motor (12), and a main pump (14) that is driven by the engine (11). The controller (30) assists the engine (11) via the electric motor (12) when the rotational speed of the engine (11) decreases by the aforementioned fixed rotational speed due to the load of the main pump (14), and reduces the assistance output of the engine (11) by means of the electric motor (12) before the rotational speed of the engine (11) returns to the fixed rotational speed.
