Abstract:
During travel mode control using an estimated road gradient as input information, unnecessary travel mode switching is prevented at the time of wheel slip. A 4WD hybrid vehicle having an engine (E) and a motor generator (MG) as drive sources is provided with: a gradient estimation computation unit (201); travel mode control units (204, 205); a gradient estimation wheel slip determination unit (202); and a request holding unit (203). The gradient estimation computation unit (201) performs road gradient estimation computation based on a difference between a front-rear acceleration sensor value and a wheel speed acceleration/deceleration value determined by temporal differentiation of a wheel speed sensor value. The travel mode control units (204, 205), using an estimated gradient as input information, controls the switching between a motor travel mode and an engine travel mode. The gradient estimation wheel slip determination unit (202) determines that there is wheel slip when the absolute value of the difference between a target acceleration/deceleration and the wheel speed acceleration/deceleration value is not less than a predetermined value. The request holding unit (203) maintains the travel mode selected by the travel mode control units (204, 205) at the time of wheel slip determination.
