Abstract:
A hydraulic drive system according to the present invention is provided with: a first circuit system; a first hydraulic pump; a second circuit system; a second hydraulic pump; a merge valve that opens and closes a merging channel that connects the first hydraulic pump and the second hydraulic pump; an operation device that outputs operation commands corresponding to operation amounts providing instruction regarding actuation amounts for a first hydraulic actuator and a second hydraulic actuator; and a control device that controls the actuation of the merge valve in accordance with the operation commands from the operation device. The first circuit system has a first meter-in control valve that controls the meter-in flow rate of hydraulic fluid flowing to the first hydraulic actuator, and a first meter-out control valve that controls the meter-out flow rate of hydraulic fluid discharged from the first hydraulic actuator to a tank. The control device respectively controls the degree of opening of the first meter-in control valve and the first meter-out control valve.
