Abstract:

A hydrogen supply system which can easily supply hydrogen to a hydrogen storing means and uses a hydrogen producing device capable of producing a hydrogen-containing gas at low temperature and requiring no large electric energy. The hydrogen supply system comprises at least a hydrogen storing means, for example, a hydrogen supplying means for supplying hydrogen to a hydrogen storing container mounted on a fuel-cell car, and a hydrogen producing device (10) for producing a hydrogen-containing gas for supplying to the hydrogen supplying means, characterized in that the hydrogen producing device, which decomposes an organic-matter-containing fuel to produce a hydrogen-containing gas, comprises a diaphragm (11), a fuel pole (12) provided on one surface of the diaphragm, a means (16) of supplying to the fuel pole a fuel containing organic matters and water, an oxidizing pole (14) provided on the other surface of the diaphragm, a means (17) of supplying an oxidizer to the oxidizing pole, and a means of producing and retrieving a hydrogen-containing gas from a fuel pole side.
