Abstract:
[Problem] To suppress any reduction in the selectivity of halogenated aromatic amines of a target product caused by a halogen separation reaction in hydrogenation of an aromatic halonitro compound. [Solution] A hydrogenation catalyst that is used in hydrogenating an aromatic halonitro compound, wherein the hydrogenation catalyst is configured to contain a carrier that contains at least one of titania and alumina, and palladium that is supported on the carrier, the average particle diameter of the palladium being 9.7 nm or less.
