Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing hydroxyalkylcellulose microparticles, which comprises generating a pulse shock wave and then supplying an aqueous hydroxyalkylcellulose solution to the pulse shock wave-generation area to thereby grind the aqueous hydroxyalkylcellulose solution and dry the same. According to this production method, hydroxyalkylcellulose microparticles having a volume-average particle diameter of 0.1 μm or more but not more than 15 μm are obtained. By mixing said hydroxyalkylcellulose microparticles with a principal drug and tabletting the mixture thus obtained, a solid preparation having high tensile strength and excellent disintegration properties can be obtained.
