Abstract:
A backlight device (12) comprises a cold-cathode tube (18), a chassis (14), in which the cold-cathode tube (18) is accommodated, an inverter board (20), which is disposed on the opposite side of the cold-cathode tube (18) from the chassis (14), and which supplies drive power to the cold-cathode tube (18), relay connectors (21), which are mounted on the chassis (14) and into which the inverter board (20) can be inserted/removed in one direction (in the x-axis direction) along the plane thereof, and which connect the power supply between the inverter board (20) and the cold-cathode tube (18), and a cover (22), which exists between the chassis (14) and the inverter board (20), which cover (22) is equipped with a movable part (22b), which is mounted to the chassis (14) to move along the direction (in the x-axis direction) in which the inverter board (20) is inserted to/removed from the relay connectors (21).
