Abstract:
Provided is a backlight device 20 that includes the following: LEDs 21; a case 40 that is made of metal and that houses the LEDs 21; an LED driver substrate 26 that is disposed outside of the case 40 and that drives the LEDs 21; and an LED mounting substrate 30 on which the LEDs 21 are mounted, the LED mounting substrate 30 having a connector section 31 that is disposed outside of the case 40 and that is connected to the LED driver substrate 26, a wiring pattern 32 that connects the connector section 31 to the LEDs 21, and a conductive layer 33 that is exposed to a substrate surface 30B that opposes the case 40 in a position overlapping the wiring pattern 32, the conductive layer being electrically independent from the wiring pattern 32. Additionally, a display device of an embodiment of the present invention is provided with the backlight device 20 and a liquid crystal panel 11 that performs display using light from the backlight device 20.
