Abstract:
The present invention suppresses a decrease in beam intensity in spots where beam profiles in uniform irradiation overlap, for example. An illumination device according to the present invention has a light emitting element having a plurality of light emitting units, wherein: when light beams transmitted from the plurality of light emitting units are irradiated onto an irradiation target, spots corresponding to the centers of the light beams are regarded as the light beam centers; in cases in which two prescribed light beam centers are regarded as a first light beam center and a second light beam center, the angle formed by the first light beam center and the second light beam center with respect to the light emitting element is regarded as a first angle; and in cases in which an angle, in which the beam intensity of a beam profile corresponding to the first light beam center reaches a prescribed intensity in the extension direction of a line that includes the first light beam center and the second light beam center, is regarded as a second angle, the first angle and the second angle are approximately equal.
