A two-dimensional panoramic image is recorded on a recording medium by using a captured image. Upon reception of a request for displaying a 3-dimensional image, an image-to-be-analyzed extraction unit (201) extracts an image-to-be-analyzed from the 2-dimensional panoramic image, an optical flow calculation unit (202) calculates an optical flow concerning the image-to-be-analyzed, and a distance calculation unit (203) calculates a distance to the object by using the optical flow. Next, an image characteristic amount generation unit (204) generates an image characteristic amount in the image-to-be-analyzed according to the distance, a conversion unit (205) divides the area of the image-to-be-analyzed according to the image characteristic amount, and a correction unit (207) performs an image characteristic amount correction process for the image-to-be-analyzed which has been subjected to the area division process. According to control by a display control unit (206), a display unit (210) displays a 3-dimensional image concerning the image-to-be-analyzed.
