Abstract:
Provided are an image capture device and a processing device such that the transmission scheme can be switched according to the device to be connected. Provided is an endoscope (2) which connects to an external processing device (3) and is capable of transmitting and receiving information to and from the processing device (3), said endoscope (2) comprising: an image capture element (244) which outputs an electrical signal after photoelectric conversion from a plurality of pixels as image information; a P/S conversion unit (274) which outputs the image information which the image capture element (244) outputs as an electrical signal; an E/O conversion unit (273) which outputs the image information which the image capture element (244) outputs as an optical signal; and a selection unit (244k) which selects the P/S conversion unit (274) or the E/O conversion unit (273) as the output unit which outputs the image information, on the basis of identification information of the processing unit (3).
