Abstract:
An image capturing device according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: an image capturing element in which a first substrate and a second substrate are stacked, the first substrate having a pixel array in which pixel blocks including a plurality of pixels for performing photoelectric conversion are arranged in the form of a matrix, and the second substrate having a pixel array in which a plurality of signal processing units for processing a signal based on the photoelectric conversion are arranged in the form of a matrix; an acquisition means which acquires an image signal from the image capturing element; and a driving control means which controls driving for acquiring the image signal from the image capturing element, wherein the signal processing units are provided with conversion circuits for performing analog-digital conversion on signals that are input during the same period from the respective pixel blocks via a plurality of signal lines, and a driving means controls a power saving operation of at least some of the signal processing units during a period in which the analog-digital conversion is not performed in the signal processing units.
