Abstract:
An image display device according to the present embodiment comprises: a display unit that includes a plurality of pixels each containing a drive transistor and a self-emitting display element connected to a power line through the drive transistor; and a control unit that generates a correction signal on the basis of an image signal for correcting, for each pixel in a single or multiple frames, the unevenness of loads among a plurality of the drive transistors which occurs when displaying the image signal, controls the state of the power line so that the power line can provide power to the self-emitting display element through the drive transistor for each pixel in a single frame or in multiple frames alternately, controls the state of the power line so that a voltage based on the image signal is applied to the gate of the drive transistor, or the power line cannot provide power to the self-emitting display element through the drive transistor, and applies a voltage based on the correction signal to the gate of the drive transistor.
