Abstract:
Provided is a method with which it is easy to produce an image display device which can maintain superior optical characteristics even in humid environments, and which prevents color loss. This image display device production method includes: preparing an image display panel equipped with a display cell and a polarizer positioned on at least one side of the display cell; forming a sealing part which covers the peripheral end faces of the image display panel; and cutting the sealing part while leaving a predetermined thickness from the peripheral edges of the image display panel.
