Abstract:
This image display device (2) is provided with a liquid crystal cell (22), a flat plate-shaped lower frame (12), a lower frame (12), a light guide plate (36), and a pair of support mechanism parts (120). The pair of support mechanism parts (120) are fixed to the lower frame (12) and disposed at positions sandwiching the light guide plate (36) from both sides in a first direction (an X-axis direction). Each of the pair of support mechanism parts (120) has: a movable section (123) that supports the light guide plate (36); a main body section (121) that movably holds the movable section (123); and an elastic member (126) that biases the movable section (123) toward the other support mechanism part (120). The movable section (123) is provided with a protruding portion (124) and the light guide plate (36) is provided with an engagement portion (130) engaging with the protruding portion (124). The engagement portion (130) has: a tap (132) formed in an outward direction from an end surface of the light guide plate (36); and a groove (131) that is formed in the tap (132) and engages with the protruding portion (124).
