Abstract:
This image display device (1) comprises: a translucent self-illuminating display panel (20); a camera (70) positioned on the back surface of the display panel (20); a light adjustment panel (30) positioned between the display panel (20) and the camera (70) and having a light adjustment unit (30a) capable of switching between a transmissive state in which the light that has passed through the display panel (20) is transmitted to the camera (70), and a non-transmissive state in which the light is not transmitted compared to the transmissive state; a non-transmission section (30b) that is positioned between the display panel (20) and the camera (70) and covers a region of the back surface of the display panel (20) in plan view other than the region overlapping the light adjustment unit (30a); and a control unit (80) that switches between an image display mode in which an image is displayed on the display panel (20) and the light adjustment unit (30a) is placed in the non-transmissive state, and a photographing mode in which the image is displayed on the display panel (20) and the light adjustment unit (30a) is placed in the transmissive state.
