Abstract:
In an image display (1), each of surge absorbers (Z1-Zm) is connected between each of first and second scanning drivers (30-1, 30-2), which supply scanning lines (Y1-Ym) of a display panel (10) with a prescribed voltage, and each scanning line. One end of the surge absorber is grounded. When electrical discharge, which may be generated due to structural feature of a panel, is generated between substrates, namely, between a rear panel which is a first substrate and a face plate which is a second substrate, each surge absorber prevents the first and second scanning drivers from being damaged due to a discharge current generated by the electrical discharge.
