Abstract:
A method and apparatus for image file processing; when a custom file is added to an image file, if there is empty space in a storage area of a directory record structure corresponding to the image file which satisfies the following conditions: being equal to or greater than a size (L) of the directory record corresponding to the custom file, then decompression and recompression of the image file is not carried out, and the custom file is instead directly added to a set position within the image file, and the directory record corresponding to the custom file is recorded in the empty space in the storage area of the directory record structure which is equal to or greater than L in size, on the basis of the set position.
