Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate necessity to change settings of the operation of an image forming apparatus. Provided is an image forming apparatus comprising a toner cartridge, a drum cartridge, and a control unit. The toner cartridge can receive a toner. The drum cartridge can be attached with the toner cartridge, and includes a photoreceptor drum and a drum memory storing first classification information showing classification of the drum cartridge. The control unit can communicate with the drum memory. The control unit reads the first classification information from the drum memory (S2) and changes the operation of the image forming apparatus in accordance with the classification shown by the first classification information (S31-S34).
