Abstract:
This image forming device (100) includes switches (8), a printing unit (5), a determination circuit (7) and a control unit (1). On the basis of a determination voltage value outputted by the determination circuit (7), the control unit (1) determines whether or not a replacement component (6) is a genuine product. When the replacement component (6) has been attached, the switches (8) are operated by means of a switch operator (60) on the replacement component (6) and switch between opened and closed. The determination voltage value changes depending on the position and the number of switches (8) in the closed state and the position and number of switches (8) in the open state.
