Abstract:
This image forming device is provided with: an image carrier (21); a development container (32) having a supply port (32a); a developer carrier (31); a detection means (51, 52) that outputs remaining amount information corresponding to the amount of a developer contained in the development container (32); a notification means (400) that is able to provide notification of a first state indicating that the remaining amount of the developer contained in the development container (32) is larger than or equal to a first amount, and a second state indicating that the remaining amount of the developer contained in the development container (32) is smaller than the first amount; and a control means (90) that causes the notification means (400) to provide notification of any of a plurality of states. The largest amount of the developer containable in the development container (32) is larger than a value obtained by adding, to the first amount, the amount of a developer for supply contained in a supply container (40) filled with the developer for supply, and the notification of the second state corresponds to notification when a larger amount of developer remains in the development container (32) than when the amount of the developer remaining in the development container (32) is smallest.
