Abstract:
An image generation method in which a virtual image, which is a two-dimensional image when a subject space is viewed from a virtual perspective in a three-dimensional space, is generated by using a processor (106) and using one or more images among a plurality of images obtained by carrying out imaging of a single subject space in the three-dimensional space by means of a plurality of cameras (102) arranged at different positions and with different orientations. When the virtual image is generated by using one or more second images captured by one or more second cameras at least one of which differs from the one or more first cameras that have captured one or more first images serving as a reference among the plurality of images, the virtual image is generated by subjecting the one or more second images to a second process, which differs from a first process carried out when the virtual image is generated using the one or more first images, and which includes a luminance adjustment and/or a color adjustment.
