Abstract:
Provided is an image pickup lens which can be miniaturized, can effectively correct various aberrations, is adaptable to an image pickup element consisting of high definition pixels, and provides the largest angle of view of 70˚ or more. The image pickup lens (7) comprises, sequentially from the object side toward the image surface side, a first lens (1) having a positive power and consisting of a biconvex lens, a second lens (2) having a negative power and having a concave lens surface on the image surface side, a third lens (3) having a positive power and consisting of a meniscus lens with a convex lens surface on the image surface side, and a fourth lens (4) having a negative power and having two aspherical lens surfaces of which the lens surface on the image surface side is concave in the vicinity of an optical axis. When it is assumed that the focal length of the entire optical system is f, the largest image height is Y', and the overall length of the optical system is TL, the image pickup lens (7) satisfies the following formulae (1) and (2);
1.20 < f/Y' < 1.35 … (1)
TL/Y' < 2.0 … (2)
