Abstract:
Provided are an image processing device and an electronic endoscope system that enable the acquisition of an observation image that is natural and has excellent visibility overall while emphasizing feature portions such as lesion sites and sites that are the target of examination. A normal observation image captured using normal light and a narrow-band observation image captured using narrow-band light having a narrower band than the normal light are input into an observation image input unit (23). A feature portion extraction unit (24a) extracts feature portions included in the narrow-band observation image. An emphasizing display unit (24b) displays a single image in which portions of the normal observation image that correspond to the feature portions included in the narrow-band observation image have been emphasized using the feature portions.
