Abstract:
[Problem] To extract specific regions using the same criterion when extracting the specific regions from respective input images captured at time points temporally different from each other. [Solution] An image processing device comprises: a region setting unit (13) for setting a first region and a second region within an input image captured in a reference time point among a plurality of input images obtained by capturing images of the same subject at different time points, the first region being estimated with a high probability to be a specific region, the second region being estimated with a high probability to be a background region that is the region excluding the specific region; and a specific region extraction unit (14) for, based on the first histogram of density values within the first region and the second histogram of density values within the second region, extracting the specific region within the input image captured at the reference time point. Based on the first histogram and the second histogram, the specific region extraction unit (14) extracts, from input images captured at time points other than the reference time point, the specific regions corresponding to the specific region within the input image captured at the reference time point.
