Abstract:
[Problem] Proposed are an image processing device, an image processing method, and a program, with which it is possible to view a broadcast delivered within a predetermined area, and to offer effective privileges to users who have been directed to predetermined locations. [Solution] An image process device provided with: a channel identifying information acquisition unit for acquiring, from a first object, channel identifying information for the purpose of receiving a broadcast; a rights information acquisition unit for acquiring rights information needed to obtain privileges, which information has been associated with the broadcast indicated by the channel identifying information; and a privilege information acquisition unit which establishes communication to a second object situated at a different location than the first object, and through the communication in question, executes on the basis of the rights information a process relating to authentication, and on the basis of the results of the authentication, acquires privilege information indicating the privilege.
