Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an image processing device, image processing method, and program, which enable smoother remote communications. A correction part corrects the image quality of a foreground and/or a background image adaptively according to the image-quality difference between the foreground and the background image, the foreground being the region in which a user carrying out a communication appears, the background image being an image created as a background to the foreground. A compositing part composites the foreground and background image after the correction to generate a composite image. The present technology may be applied to a remote communications system.
