Abstract:
The present invention relates to an image processing device and an image processing method that make it possible to estimate with high precision the yaw angle difference between cameras resulting from age-related deviation in a stereo camera. A yaw angle estimation unit estimates the difference between the yaw angles of a left camera and a right camera on the basis of the position of a known area in which the ideal value for a parallax within a right image captured by a right camera is known, an actual measured value for the parallax of the known area calculated on the basis of the position of an area corresponding to the known area within a left image captured by a left camera, and the ideal value for the parallax. The present invention can be applied, for example, to an imaging device or the like comprising a stereo camera.
