Abstract:
Provided are an image processing device and an image processing method for processing a far-infrared image. The image processing device is provided with: an object detection unit that detects an object from a far-infrared image captured by a far-infrared camera; and a reflection identification unit that identifies a reflecting object detected by the object detection unit. The object detection unit divides the far-infrared image into image regions through image segmentation, and identifies the class of each of the image regions. The reflection identification unit identifies an object which corresponds to an image region close to the outer periphery of an image region of a mirror-surface object class reflecting a far-infrared ray or an object which corresponds to an image region omitted at the outer edge of the image region of the mirror-surface object class reflecting the far-infrared ray as a reflecting object.
