Abstract:
An image processing device comprising a color polarized image acquisition unit (201), full sky polarization map acquisition unit (202), weather judgment unit (203), clear sky region separation unit (204), cloudy sky normal estimation unit (207), and a pseudo-3d transformation unit (208). By this configuration, the image processing device factors in the polarization state of the outdoor sky, acquires polarization information, estimates the surface normal information of the surface of the object in the 2d image, and creates a surface normal image. Using this, the device divides the regions of the objects in the image, extracts the 3d information, and creates an image which is subjected to perspective transformation to thereby create a pseudo-3d image.
