Abstract:
The present invention realizes a camera image processing device that is capable of diagnosing malfunctions even when the image processing device is actually being used. During a vertical blanking interval (c) in which image data is not outputted from an imaging element, the present invention sets fixed data as an expected value, and detects whether a short failure or a disconnection failure has occurred in a data transmission path. In the present invention, failure diagnosis becomes possible even when the image processing device is being used. Even when there is a plurality of data transmission paths, the expected value is set to a prescribed value to thereby detect the transmission path in which a short-circuit failure or disconnection failure has occurred.
