Abstract:
In order to achieve an image processing device capable of accurately distinguishing a reflection object from a headlight, which is a target object, regardless of a distance to an own vehicle and the level of brightness of the headlight, the reflection object, or the like, an image acquisition unit 12 acquires an image from a camera 11, a brightness calculation unit 13 generates a brightness image, and a light source region setting unit 14 calculates a plurality of vehicle candidate regions comprising brightness pixels each of which is not less than a certain reference value. A threshold value determination unit 15 determines a threshold value on the basis of own vehicle headlight irradiation orientation information, from an irradiation orientation information acquisition unit 17 for each of the plurality of vehicle candidate regions. A target object identification unit 16 determines whether or not each of the vehicle candidate regions is a predetermined target object. With respect to the vehicle candidate region determined as the target object, information indicating that the region is set as a light shielding target, is added and outputted to a light distribution control unit 18. With respect to the vehicle candidate region determined not to be the predetermined target object, information indicating that the region is not the light shielding target, is outputted to the light distribution control unit 18.
