Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to simplify the configuration of a light emitting device with which a light emission delay time of a light emitting element is shortened. This light emission drive circuit is provided with light emission current wiring, a light emission current switch, preliminary current wiring, and preliminary current switch. The light emission current wiring allows a light emission current for causing a light emitting element to emit light to flow through the light emitting element. The light emission current switch is connected in the light emission current wiring to control the light emission current. The preliminary current wiring allows a preliminary current for exciting an inductance component of the light emission current wiring to flow through the light emission current wiring prior to a light emission period, which is a period in which the light emission current flows through the light emitting element. The preliminary current switch is connected in the preliminary current wiring to control the preliminary current.
