Abstract:
Provided is an image projection device whereby a temperature increase in an image irradiation device due to outside light can be effectively suppressed, and visibility can be ensured even when polarized sunglasses or the like are used. Provided is an image projection device (100) for projecting a projection image to a display part for displaying a virtual image, the image projection device (100) comprising an image irradiation unit (11) for radiating image light, and an irradiation optical unit (20) for radiating image light via the display part as a projection image in a viewpoint direction, the irradiation optical unit (20) comprising a polarizing part (16) for transmitting light having a prescribed polarization direction from among the image light, and the image light radiated from the irradiation optical unit (20) including P-polarized light with respect to the display part.
