Provided is an image projection device that maintains a high degree of freedom of design even if a plurality of images are projected on differing regions of a display unit, and that is capable of reducing the number of light-emitting surfaces of a light-emitting element necessary for suppressing unevenness of brightness. The image projection device comprises: an image display unit on which a projection image is displayed; a light emission unit which emits irradiation light onto the image display unit; and an emission optical unit which emits the irradiation light as a projection image via the display unit and in a viewpoint direction. The projection image includes a first image and a second image which are projected onto differing regions of the display unit. The image display unit is provided with a first region (17b) for displaying the first image and a second region (17a) for displaying the second image. The light emission unit has a first light source unit (12b, 13b) which emits light to the first region (17b) and a second light source unit (12a, 13a) which emits light to the second region (17a). The lengthwise direction of the first light source unit (12b, 13b) and the lengthwise direction of the second light source unit (12a, 13a) are arranged so as to be inclined by an angle of θ with respect to each other.
