Abstract:
An image reading device (100) comprises a lens array (4), a light receiving unit (6), and at least one light shielding member. The lens array (4) has a plurality of first lens bodies that are provided arranged in a single row in a main scanning direction with determined intervals therebetween and cause light from a reading object to converge. The light receiving unit (6) receives the converged lights which were made to converge by each of the first lens bodies. The light shielding member is positioned in a location between a reading object-side end of the lens array (4) and the light receiving unit (6), said location corresponding to the intervals in the main scanning direction, shields the light from the reading object passing between the first lens bodies, and separates the optical paths of the converged lights which were made to converge by neighboring first lens bodies.
