Abstract:

Proposed is a refining method for molten iron that can guarantee the amount of time in a flame of a heating medium without being affected by the height adjustment of an acid feeding lance for blowing. An acid feeding lance for blowing 3 that can be raised and lowered and that supplies an oxidizing gas, and at least one burner lance 4 that can be raised and lowered independently of the acid feeding lance for blowing are inserted to a position lower than the upper end in a converter-type container 1, oxidizing gas or oxidizing gas and CAO-containing refining material are sprayed onto the molten iron from the acid feeding lance for blowing, fuel gas and combustion gas are discharged from a burner lance to form a flame, granular material discharged from the burner lance is passed through the flame, heated, and then sprayed onto the molten iron, and thereby heat compensation for molten iron is performed.
