Abstract:
In order to allow accurate determination of operations, first, an image-reading unit (301) reads (S401) image data captured by a video camera (201). An image-extraction unit (302) then extracts (S402) from said data an image of an operator. After preparation along these lines, a virtual operation surface and an operation region are formed (S403) on the basis of the extracted image of the operator (102). If the operator is an adult (810), the operation region (811) can be formed taking into consideration the height (line-of-sight position) and arm length of the operator; if the operator is a child (820), the operator height and arm length are shorter, and the operation region (821) can be set to match.
