Abstract:
Provided are an image recorded object and an application thereof. The image recorded object includes a substrate and an image that is recorded on the substrate. The image includes a cholesteric liquid crystal layer. The cholesteric liquid crystal layer has, in a cross section along the thickness direction of the image, a stripe pattern having bright and dark sections as observed by a scanning electron microscope, and includes at least two regions in which, when an angle between a main surface of the substrate and a continuous line that is the bright section or the dark section is defined as an alignment angle, the absolute value of a difference in alignment angle is not less than 5°. The width length of each of the two regions in the in-plane direction of the substrate is not less than 1 mm.
